Alyssa

Alyssa has proudly served families in the community as a licensed funeral director since August 2021. Her dedication to compassionate care, professionalism, and personalized service has made her a trusted resource for families during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Born in Aurora, Colorado, Alyssa graduated high school in Colorado Springs before relocating to New Jersey in 2010. She continued her education at Burlington County Community College, earning an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. She later attended Mercer County Community College, where she graduated from the Mortuary Science Program in 2019. During her time there, she served as Class President of Sigma Phi Sigma and earned an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service.
Alyssa began her career at Tilghman Funeral Home in 2018 and developed a deep connection to both the funeral profession and the families she serves. She recently fulfilled a longtime professional goal by purchasing Tilghman Funeral Home, a respected family-owned business that has been serving the community since 1960. Alyssa is honored to continue the funeral home’s longstanding tradition of compassionate service while ensuring families receive the highest level of care and support.
In addition to her work as a funeral director, Alyssa is a member of the Burlington County Funeral Directors Association and the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association. She also serves as a Notary Public.
Alyssa resides in New Egypt, New Jersey, with her husband, Kevin. She remains committed to helping families honor the lives of their loved ones with dignity, respect, and meaningful tribute.

Dennis B. Tilghman

Dennis has been a licensed funeral director since 1996. He is a graduate of Mercer County Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science and also their Mortuary Science Program. In 2003 he purchased the funeral home from his father.
Dennis is a member and past president of the Burlington County Funeral Directors Association, the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. He is a member of the Pyramid Lodge #92 F&AM in New Egypt, the Plumsted 2020 Committee and is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Plumsted Township Business and Merchants Association. Dennis is also a member of the New Egypt United Methodist Church.
He is married to Mary Ann and has two step sons; Kyle, who is currently pursuing his PhD in Marine Biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and Tyler, who is a Professional Fireman/EMT in New Jersey. Dennis is a lifetime resident of New Egypt
