William P. Sherwood

William P. Sherwood, age 76 , lifetime resident of New Egypt, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Virtua Voorhees Hospital. He was born June 17, 1950 in Caribou Maine to the late Forrest and Rose Sherwood.

William was a Chemical engineer at Gromark Agway in Eastampton, found joy in various activities. He enjoyed going to the gym, mowing the lawn, and finding solace in reading his Bible. As a talented carpenter, he crafted beautiful furniture. However, his greatest passion was spending quality time with his wife, Barbara, who passed away in April 2026.

William is predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara (nee Guse), his parents, Forrest and Rose (nee Ellis), and his brother June. He leaves behind his four children, Kelly and her husband Mike, Stacey, and Billie Jo and her husband Rob, and Shawn Albert; his grandchildren, Nicole and Jeremy, Alexis and Spencer, Amanda and Brandy, Stephanie, Katie, Jake and Courteney, Samantha and Jacob, Zack and Aliyah; his great-grandchildren, Kaylee, McKenzie, Liam, Nate, and Asher; and his siblings, Patty, Reggie, Fran, Janet, and Betty.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for William on Monday, September 28, 2026 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Tilghman Funeral Home located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at the funeral home with interment to follow at BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 350 Province Line Road Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
