William Harrison, age 91, of Dover, DE passed away Thursday, July 22 at home with his family by his side after an extended illness. Born in Laurel, Delaware to the late Harry and Irene (Boswell) Harrison, he was a resident of Dover for over 40 years. William was a self-employed paving contractor. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother and uncle who will be missed by all. He was predeceased by his parents, three children, Edward Hopkins, Dale Hopkins and Deborah Hamond and three brothers, James Boswell, Thomas Harrison and Harry Harrison. William is survived by his wife, Carole (Borden) Harrison; seven children, Linda Mohand of Wisconsin, Donald Hopkins and wife Tillie of New Egypt, Lisa Wilson of Delaware, William R. Harrison and wife Allyson of Kentucky, Carol Jean Harrison and husband Roubie of Maryland, Henry Harrison and wife Madge of Kentucky and Rowdy Harrison of Delaware; a brother, Saul Harrison and wife Helen of Kentucky; 40 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and 3 on the way. Funeral services for William will be held on Wednesday, July 28 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 with burial to follow in the Jacobstown Cemetery in Jacobstown, NJ. Calling hours will be on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
