Roger D. Havens, age 70, of New Egypt passed away Friday, March 28 at RWJ University Medical Center in Hamilton. Born in Trenton, NJ to the late Vernon and Edith (Lewis) Havens, he was a lifetime New Egypt Resident.

Roger was a 1973 Graduate of Allentown High School and retired as a Lieutenant with the New Jersey Department of Corrections in Trenton. He was a Life Member of the New Egypt Vol. Fire Co. and also Past Vice President and Past President, Roger was a member of the Pyramid Masonic Lodge #92 in New Egypt and was an avid sprint car fan visiting many tracks over the years. But most of all he loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

Roger was predeceased by his parents and by a sister Norma Errickson. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Regina (Diblin) Havens; two daughters, Julia Swanson and husband Robert of Woodbridge, VA and Margaret Livingston and husband Daniel of Riverton, WY a brother, James Havens of Virginia Beach, VA and three grandchildren, MacKenzie Swanson, Cameron Swanson and Kaitlyn Livingston.

Calling hours for Roger will be held on Wednesday, April 2 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at the New Egypt United Methodist Church – Atkinson Hall located at 9 Fort Avenue, New Egypt, NJ 08533. Burial will be private at Emley's Hill Cemetery in Cream Ridge.
