Rebecca L. Centeno, age 72, passed away in her home on Sunday, February 11, 2024. She was born in Manila, Philippines on August 6, 1951 to Jose and Lenora Labayen. Rebecca resided in Jersey City, NJ for most of her life later moving to New Egypt, NJ. She was a Senior Funds Transfer Specialist for Standard Chartered Bank in New York City for almost 30 years before retiring. She was a faithful member and servant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in Jersey City.

Rebecca, known affectionately by her loved ones as "Boc", lived her life full of laughter and joy and will always be remembered as the life of the party. She was a very kind, thoughtful and generous woman who was known to everyone to be the best gift giver.  She gave freely and did anything to help her family and friends. She and her joyous spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rebecca is survived by her daughters, Allison Centeno-Chapé and her husband Gerri, and Rhodora Centeno-Toribio and her husband Nahum; her grandchildren, Jayla, Noah, Princeton, Ethan, Ezekiel, Ayanna and Sydnie; her great grandson, Zakai; as well as her three brothers and three sisters.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am EST on February 22, 2024 at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, located at 691 West Side Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07304.
