It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Raymond J. Swinger, aged 71, of Pemberton, New Jersey, on June 30, 2026. Born on January 13, 1955, in Princeton, NJ, Raymond lived a life filled with love, dedication, and community spirit.
Raymond will be remembered for the quiet, steady way he cared for the people around him. He found joy in life's simple pleasures and took pride in creating, fixing, and sharing. Whether he was tending to his garden, baking something delicious for family and friends, or tinkering until he found the perfect solution, he approached everything with patience, curiosity, and care. He spent a large portion of his life as an active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where his commitment to his faith and community was evident in both his service and the kindness he showed to others. His gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to those he loved will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Raymond devoted himself to his profession as a salesman at Meyers Power Supply, where he built lasting relationships with colleagues and customers alike. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he enlisted on January 30, 1976, serving his country with honor until his discharge on January 29, 1980.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Lillian Swinger. He is survived by his devoted spouse, Darla Swinger of 45 years who will forever hold his memory close to her heart; his three children, William and his wife Amanda, Michael and his wife Kelly, and Tracy and her husband Jeffrey; his adored four grandchildren, Caylee, Madisyn, Mason and Reagan; his brother and sisters; Robert Swinger, Marie Danser Pauly, Vivian Eiker; and several nieces and nephews
