Norma R. Griswold, age 87, longtime area resident of New Egypt, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Seacrest Village in Little Egg Harbor. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut on August 16, 1935 to the late Earl and Elizabeth (nee Milligan) Thompson. Norma was a member of the New Egypt Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary along with being a former member of Plumsted Presbyterian Church. She worked at JEM Cleaners in New Egypt for 20 years. Norma enjoyed crocheting, and gardening. She was an avid reader, and liked to collect bells, cast irons, and snow villages. Norma was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, and friend that will be deeply missed.

Norma is predeceased by her beloved husband, James "Gris" Griswold; her son, James Griswold; her parents; and by her four siblings. She leaves behind her son, Robert Griswold and wife Diane of Little Egg Harbor; her granddaughter, Jennifer LeVasseur and husband Russ; three great-grandchildren, Shania, Steven, and Tysen; and two great-great grandchildren, Ari, and AJ

Services for Norma are being held privately at the convenience of the family. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home located in New Egypt, NJ.
