Nicole Komenda, 48, of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away on March 7, 2026.

Our beautiful friend Nicole lost her battle with a complex illness. She was the kind of person everyone hopes to have in their life—a loyal, compassionate friend who showed up for the people she loved and remained a friend for life.

Nicole was a talented therapist who dedicated her career to helping others. Through her work, she offered hope, compassion, and healing to so many people. Her genuine spirit, warmth, and caring soul touched countless lives, both professionally and personally.

Outside of her work, Nicole found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved painting, spending time at bingo and gift auctions with friends, and enjoying wine tastings. Those who knew her will remember her kind heart, her laughter, and the way she made everyone around her feel valued and understood.

Nicole was predeceased by her mother, Janis Powell, and her stepfather, Walter Powell.

She leaves behind family, a circle of devoted friends and colleagues who will carry her memory forward and continue to honor the kindness and love she shared so freely.

Nicole's life was a reminder of the power of friendship, compassion, and generosity of spirit. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Memorial Gathering and Celebration of Nicole's lfe will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Tilghman Funeral Home 52 Main Street New Egypt, NJ 08533
