Michael E. Kobren

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Kobren, age 71, of New Egypt, NJ, on August 18, 2026. Mike was born on November 10, 1954, in Princeton and was a longtime resident of New Egypt.

Mike was an enthusiastic independent casino dealer. He enjoyed the intricacies of card games. Beyond the gaming tables, he found joy in bowling, metal detecting, and tinkering with cars. Mike was also a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, cheering them on with fervor.

Mike is predeceased by his mother Marjorie Rivers and his sister, Stephanie Orlando. He leaves behind his wife, Cheryl Kobren; his daughter, Amy Kobren and fiancé Francis “Frank” McGough, and his son, Brian Kobren and significant other Stephanie Disbrow; dearest family friend, Maureen Smitley; beloved goddaughter, Cherie Parker; and his many close friends.

There will be a private family remembrance. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home, New Egypt, NJ
