Maryann Steen, age 84, of Whiting passed away Wednesday, October 22 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Neptune, NJ to the late Joseph and Jennie Vetrano, she was a resident of Whiting for the past 11 years and formerly of Buena, NJ.

Maryann loved to take trips to Lancaster, PA with her family, watching horror movies and camping with her grandkids. But most of all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who will be missed by all.

Mayann was predeceased by her parents and by her siblings, Patty Silver, Stevie Vetrano and Guy Vetrano. She is survived by her devoted husband of over 60 years, Joseph Steen; her son, Michael Steen and wife Angela of New Egypt; her daughter, Joanne Steen of Beachwood; a sister, Anna Vetrano of Asbury Park; five grandchildren, Taylor, Amber, Carly, Casey and Randy and five great grandchildren.

Visitation for Maryann will be held on Monday, October 27 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM with a service at 5:30 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533. Burial will be on Wednesday, October 29 at 12:00 Noon at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Freehold.
