Mary E. Zukus, age 91, resident of Browns Mills, formerly of Whiting and New Egypt, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at Samartian Hospice in Mt Holly. She was born on September 11, 1931 in Big Mine Run Ashland, PA to the late Martin and Mary (nee Petruskey) Cannon. Mary proudly served in the United States Army from 1950-1953. She enjoyed cleaning, doing ceramics, and word searches. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend that will be deeply missed.

Mary is predeceased by her beloved husband, Alexander J. Zukus, Jr.; her parents, Martin and Mary Cannon; and her brother, Martin Cannon. She leaves behind her four sons, Jay Zukus and wife Lisa of Bridgewater, Patrick Zukus and wife Carol of Baltimore, Maryland, Alex Zukus of Whiting, and Edward Zukus and wife Erica of Browns Mills; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her brother, Jack Cannon and wife Jean of Portland, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, January 12th at 11:00am for a Memorial Mass at the Church of the Assumption Chapel located at 76 Evergreen Road, New Egypt, NJ 08533 with burial to follow at BGWCD Veteran Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home located in New Egypt, NJ.
