Obituary

Mark Emery, age 65, a lifelong resident of New Egypt, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2020 surrounded by those he loved. He was born in Point Pleasant, New Jersey to the late Quinton and Elizabeth Emery on June 10, 1955. After graduating high school, Mark continued onto college, receiving his Associates Degree. He worked in Maintenance for the Upper Freehold Regional School District for many years until his retirement just this year. Mark was a dedicated and faithful member of the Plumsted Presbyterian Church in New Egypt. He loved being with his family, his church family and his two dogs, Burt and Bill. Mark also spent a lot of his time taking care of the family farm and riding his motorcycle. He was a loving brother, uncle, great-uncle and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Mark is predeceased by his parents. He leaves behind his brother Paul Emery and wife Rosemary; his brother John Emery and wife Brenda; his niece, Donna Wilson, her husband Wade and their daughter Madelyn; and by his niece Deborah Preiss, her husband Leonard and their children, Thomas Cane, Carolyn Preiss and Virginia Preiss. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 2PM to 4PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. A funeral service will begin at 4PM. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mark's memory to the Plumsted Presbyterian Church, 14 Front Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. Facial coverings and social distancing are required with a maximum of 25 people in the funeral home at a time.
