Marjorie E. Koon, age 89, passed away Sunday, August 18 at Aspen Hills Healthcare in Pemberton. Born in New Brunswick, NJ to the late Luke and Anna (Ellis) Magee, she was a longtime resident of Jacobstown before moving to Aspen Hills three years ago. Marjorie attended the Fresh Ponds Chapel in North Brunswick and also enjoyed collecting dolls. She is predeceased by her husband, Lloyd E. Koon, Sr.; two brothers, Edward Magee and Willard Magee and three sisters, Dorothy Schwartz, Lenora Knox and Marilyn Hall. Marjorie is survived by her son, Lloyd Koon, Jr. of Browns Mills; three sisters, Marlene Jegou of Milltown, NJ, Wilma Tallman of Macedon, NY and Althea Pearce of Cliffwood Beach, NJ; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Marjorie will be held on Thursday, August 22 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.TilghmanFH.com) with burial to following in Mount Holly Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, August 21 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marjorie's memory can be made to the ASPCA (www.aspca.org).
