Marion Jane
MacReynolds
Mar 16, 1944 — Aug 20, 2026
Marion Jane MacReynolds (née Hulit)
March 16, 1944 - August 20, 2026
Marion Jane MacReynolds (née Hulit), a lifelong resident of New Egypt, New Jersey, was called home to her Heavenly Father on Thursday morning, August 20, 2026 passing away peacefully in her home surrounded by the deep love of her family.
Born in 1944 to the late Albert and Marion E. Hulit, Marion lived a life defined by faith, devotion, and selfless service to others. A proud 1962 graduate of Allentown High School, Marion answered her lifelong calling to care for others by entering nursing school at Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia. She went on to earn her Registered Nursing degree in 1965.
In 1966, upon his honorable return from Vietnam, Marion married the love of her life, Robert "Mac" MacReynolds III. Together, they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering devotion until his passing in 1999.
Marion's nursing career was a true ministry of compassion. She initially served as a pediatric nurse at Mercer Hospital and later as a claims nurse at Westinghouse before joining the nursing staff at Deborah Heart & Lung Center in the 1970s, eventually joining the Pediatric Department. In 1983, she brought her gentle touch to CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, where she served until 2000, later continuing her practice at Dr. Cohen's office in New Egypt until her retirement in 2004. Yet, Marion often shared that her best job was the one that followed-taking care of her cherished grandsons, Dean and Robby, when they were little. Caring for children was not just her profession; it was her God-given calling.
A faithful servant of God, Marion was a lifelong, devoted member of the New Egypt United Methodist Church, which she dearly considered her second family. For 44 years, her gifted hands filled the sanctuary with music as the church organist, lifting the spirits of the congregation and praising the Lord through her gift. She also led her church choir and conducted several cantatas throughout the years.
Her legacy of love lives on in her devoted family. She is survived by her loving children: Robert MacReynolds IV and his wife, Cynthia; Amy Reilly and her husband, Edward; Craig MacReynolds and his wife, Angel. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, who brought her endless joy: Dean Reilly, Robert MacReynolds V, Craig MacReynolds, Jr., Nenna Frederick and her husband, Russell: Emillie Walker and her husband Jonathan and her beautiful great-children, Salem Moreno Frederick, Krueger Walker, Coraline Walker, and Audra Walker.
Marion was also blessed with a large, loving extended family, including many nieces and nephews who affectionately knew her as their cherished "Aunt Toots," as well as far too many dear friends to name individually. Her heart and home were always open to everyone.
"Well done, good and faithful servant... enter into the joy of your Lord." - Matthew 25:21
