Lucy Bolognese, age 107, longtime resident of Concord Health Care in Lakewood, and formerly of New Egypt, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 13, 1917. In her younger days she loved sitting on the stoop with all the younger kids gathered together as she read them stories and helped them with their lessons. Lucy worked at the school's Principal's office at the age of 17, where she was paid $10 a week. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, dancing and socializing. Lucy's all-time favorite singer is Connie Francis, she especially loved the song "All of Me". She liked having people over, entertaining and cooking even just for relatives or in-laws. Her specialties were chicken cacciatore and steak pizzaiola. Lucy was a loving grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend that will be deeply missed.

Lucy is predeceased by her beloved husband, Luigi Bolognese; her son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Rose Bolognese; and several siblings. She leaves behind her three grandchildren, Jennifer Bolognese, Peter Bolognese and wife Jessica, and Anthony Bolognese and wife Linda; her five great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Bolognese-Arcadi, Ava Bolognese, Alexandra Bolognese, Angelina Bolognese and Bella Bolognese.

Funeral services for Lucy are being private at the convenience of the family. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home located in New Egypt, NJ.
