Linda R. Murphy, age 76, longtime resident of New Egypt, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at RWJ Hamilton Hospital. She was born on June 23, 1948 in Trenton, NJ to the late John and Ellen Reed. Linda loved anything NASCAR and going fast. She enjoyed being a mom and grandmother. Linda liked taking trips to the beach. She also liked taking care of cats. Linda was a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend that will be deeply missed.

Linda is predeceased by her beloved husband, Russell F. Murphy, Jr; her parents, John and Ellen (nee Lake) Reed; and several siblings. She leaves behind her two daughters, Ellen Gibson and husband Jimmy, and Heather Griggs and fiancé Michael Mitchell; five grandchildren, Dylan, Jack, Ariana, Cody, and Ashley; and her brother and sister, Nelson A. Reed, and Phyllis Phillips.

Funeral services for Linda are being held private at the convenience of the family. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home, located in New Egypt, NJ.
