Kevin J. Murphy, age 76, resident of New Egypt, formerly of Monroe Township, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at his home in New Egypt, NJ. He was born on March 11, 1948 in Newark, NJ to the late Joseph and Ann (nee Dropchinski) Murphy. Kevin worked as an insurance underwriter for Hanover Insurance. He liked to collect baseball cards and coins. Kevin enjoyed gardening, watching the news, and keeping an eye on the stock market. Kevin also enjoyed playing and watching sports throughout his life. He participated in cross country, basketball, baseball, softball, golf and recently took up playing cornhole with his friends. Kevin was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend that will be deeply missed.

Kevin is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Ann Murphy. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 47 years, Marlene (Sande) Murphy of New Egypt; his two sons, Daniel Murphy of Philadelphia, PA and Michael Murphy and husband John Lowery of Oakland, CA; and his brother Joseph Murphy and wife Nancy of Vancouver Island, Canada.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 1 PM to 2 PM at Tilghman Funeral Home located at 52 Main Street New Egypt, NJ 08533. A funeral service will begin at 2 PM at the funeral home with interment to follow in Jacobstown Cemetery located on Schoolhouse Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.

The family will be sitting shiva at home following the burial on Tuesday until 8:30 pm and on Wednesday from 12-4pm at 4 Keeneland Road New Egypt, NJ 08533.
