Joseph R. Benigno, age 90, resident of Cream Ridge, formerly of North Brunswick, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at home. He was born on April 10, 1934 in New Brunswick to the late Anthony and Virginia Benigno. Joseph was a Graduate of Seton Hall with a Bachelor's Degree in Law. He was a member of St. Mary's of Visitation located in New Brunswick. He owned his own business with his father and grandfather. Tony's Brake Service, North Brunswick Specializing in automotive restoration, repair, and sales. Managed the Carolier Bowling Alley on weekends and enjoyed bowling for many years. In his retirement years he continued his enjoyment of fixing things and keeping himself busy. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Joseph is predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Virginia (nee Ingandela) Benigno. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 70 years, Ruth (nee Butch) Benigno; his three children, Sherry Benigno, Cindy Sinicropi, and Anthony Benigno; nine grandchildren, Amy Wiggins, Tracy Wiggins, Robert Sinicropi, David Sinicropi, Angela Konkle, Maria Salonna, Kristin Polizzotti, Leanna Elliott, and Michelle Benigno; and nine great-grandchildren, Ashlee, Téa, Amari, Michael, Angelo, Francesca, Valentina, Luciana, and Olivia.

Funeral services for Joseph are being held privately at the convenience of the family. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home located in New Egypt, NJ.
