John L. Begley, age 47, resident of New Egypt, formerly of Whiting and Toms River, passed away with his family by his side on Monday, March 27, 2023. He was born on March 25, 1976 in Toms River to John and Patricia (nee Allen) Begley. John worked as a traffic light engineer for Ocean County Signal Shop. He liked teaching his family and friends archery. John enjoyed going hunting and camping. He was an avid car enthusiast, especially rebuilding mustangs. His most special project included building an 1989 Ford Foxbody Mustang for his daughter Shelby. He had an infinite love for cooking, and he showed his love for others though cooking and baking for them. He enjoyed nothing more than to make delicious food for his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend that will be deeply missed.

John is predeceased by his mother, Patricia Begley. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 16 years, Barbara (nee Scheyer) Begley; his beautiful loving daughter, Shelby Begley; his father and stepmother, John Begley and wife Barbara; his sister, Kerri Lenhart and husband Jason; his step-brother and sister, Scott Rochester and Amy Fortuna, and Amy Rochester; nieces and nephews, Royce, Reyla, Khloe; extended family members; and friends that are like family.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for John on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 12 PM to 2 PM at New Egypt Elks Lodge #2457 located at 105 Lakewood Road, New Egypt, NJ 08533 with a service at 2 PM.
