James C. Smires, age 81, of Pemberton passed away Friday, November 3 at home with his family by his side. Born in Plumsted Twp., he was a resident of Pemberton since 1988 and previously lived in Burlington for a few years and before that was a long time resident of New Egypt. Jim was a retired HVAC mechanic at McGuire AFB. He was a life member of the New Egypt Elks and enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. Jim was predeceased by his wife, Susan C. Smires. He is survived by his children, Bonnie Reynolds of Levittown, PA, Jeff Smires and wife Lynn of Eastampton. Susan Phillips of Burlington, Cindy Jarvis and husband Allan Grimes of Mountain View, CA, Robert Jarvis and wife Helen of Browns Mills, Susan Lord and husband Frank of Glassboro and John Jarvis and wife Tracy of Pemberton; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
