Jacquie F. Berger, age 97, resident of North Hanover Twp formerly of Cream Ridge, peacefully passed away on June 5, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. Born in Lancaster, PA, on August 26, 1928, to the late Dorothy and Sylvester Hendrix. Wife of the late Major Edward H. Berger, USMC.
While living most of her childhood and young adult life in Mount Joy, Lancaster County, PA., she moved to Lancaster over the years. Jacquie held the position of Executive Director of the Lancaster County Unit, American Cancer Society; Administrator of Volunteer Services for the Lancaster County Office of Aging and Development Director of Goodwill Industries Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster, PA.
Jacquie moved to New Jersey in 1987 to take a position with Perretti Farms located in Cream Ridge, NJ. She was a Registered Municipal Clerk for Plumsted Township, Ocean County, NJ from 1989 to 1995. When she retired, she opened the Laurel Run Bird Farm in Cream Ridge, NJ where she bred and sold exotic birds.
She was a volunteer and life member of the Horse Park of New Jersey at Stone Tavern, Inc., a member of the Auxiliary of the Chesterfield First Aid Squad, and the New Jersey Farm Bureau. She was also a member of the St. Isidore the Farmer Parish in North Hanover Twp., NJ.
Jacquie is survived by her daughter, Lynn B. Mathews, and her husband Robert; her son, Robert D. Beyer, Esq. and his wife Sandra; her stepchildren, James M. Berger, Barbara B. Rothacher and her husband George, and John W. Beyer and his wife Leslie, and her grandson, John Robert.
Funeral services for Jacquie are being held privately at the convenience of the family. All arrangements are directed by Tilghman Funeral Home located in New Egypt, NJ.
