Helen E. Walton, age 89, of New Egypt passed away Friday, January 21 at Capital Health in Trenton. Born in Hornerstown to the late George and Verna (Johnson) Halpin, she was a lifetime area resident.

Helen was a 1950 graduate of Allentown High School and worked for many years as a receptionist for Dr. Zlotkin, Dr. Shoenfeld and Dr. Cohen in New Egypt. She was a member of the Plumsted Presbyterian Church in New Egypt and was a member of the Cookstown Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. Helen loved watching the Game Show Network, her trips to Lancaster, PA and traveling and going to diner with her good friends Janet and Bart Amburgey. But most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Helen was predeceased by her husbands, Lawrence "Larry" Wilkins and George Walton; two brothers, George and Edwin Halpin; a sister, Joy Youmans and a step-grandson, James "Boomer" Walton. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, William "Wink" and Lori Wilkins of New Egypt, Robert "Bob" and Beth Wilkins of Chesapeake, VA and Charles "Buddy" and Jo Ann Wilkins of North Hanover Twp.; her step-children, George Walton and wife Carol of Clayton, NC, Ronald Walton and wife Julie of Surf City, NJ, James Walton and wife Dawn of Columbus, Mary Ann Tilghman and husband Dennis of New Egypt and Janice Walton of Pleasantville; three sisters, Ruth Archer of Pt. Pleasant, Margaret Bauman and husband David of New Egypt and Bonnie Golden of Hamilton; a half- brother, Robert Halpin and wife Nancy of Randleman, NC; 9 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren plus one on the way; 9 step-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Helen will be held on Tuesday, January 25 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt with burial to follow in the Jacobstown Baptist Cemetery in Jacobstown. Calling hours will be on Monday, January 24 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Helen's name may be made to the Plumsted Presbyterian Church, 14 Front Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533.
