Obituary

Harold F. Bell, at age 95 passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026 at Meadow Lakes, East Windsor NJ. He was born in Whitewater, Wisconsin to the late Harry and Florence Davis Bell. Harold is predeceased by his loving wife of 71 years Margaret "Peggy" Lischer Bell, daughters Mary Ann and Louise, sister Dorothy Butzke, brothers Eugene and James Bell, as well as grandsons Isaac Bell and Timothy Ashley.


Harold is survived by his seven children, Fran Bell and wife Susan of Columbus, NJ, Patricia Brodian and husband Craig of Ellicott City, MD, Eileen Fusco and husband Donald of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, Mary Ellen Bell of Roebling, NJ, Joann Ashley of Hamilton, NJ, Jeffrey Bell and wife Crystal of Delran, NJ, and Michael Bell and wife Kelley of Annville, PA, as well as his 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.


Harold was a longtime resident of Groveville Gardens for 44 years before moving to Cream Ridge, NJ in 1997. He resided in Deep Run Sun Community at Cream Ridge for 26 years before moving to Meadow Lakes.


Harold enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1948 and served during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1951. During his service years he met and married the love of his life, Peggy Lischer. After his military service he was employed by the American Bridge Division of the US Steel Corporation for 33 years. After his retirement from American Bridge, he worked for 14 years at Robert Wood Johnson at Hamilton Hospital as a courier.


Harold was a founding member of the St. Vincent DePaul Holy Name Society. He was a past member of the St. Vincent DePaul Senior Citizens Club, Golden Hours Senior Citizen Club of Groveville, and the Hamilton Road Runners Club. He was an avid jogger for several years and participated in many races. He enjoyed outdoor gardening activities and watching his beloved Green Bay Packers.


Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 11 AM North Crosswicks Cemetery located at 4952 Crosswicks-Hamilton Square Road Crosswicks, NJ 08515


In lieu flowers memorial contributions can be made in Harold's name to Spring point Foundation.
