Franklin DeWayne Zamensky, Sr., age 80, of Wrightstown passed away at home on Tuesday, May 28. Born in Columbus, NJ to the late Joseph and Aida (Potts) Zamensky, Frank was a longtime resident of North Hanover Twp.
His love of working on cars led him to begin his career at Burlington Auto Glass where he worked for 21 years. Before his retirement, Frank owned his own business, Frank's Auto Glass, which he started in 1983.
Frank was a lifelong fan of Nascar. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming. Frank shared his love of all these sports with his son and grandsons.
He always enjoyed the art of farming and after his retirement he shared his love for it at Toyland Farms, where he developed a lifelong friendship with owner, Paul Shinn of Jobstown, NJ. Frank was also a member of the Central Jersey Tractor Pullers Association. He was reliable, kind hearted and was always there to offer a helping hand.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Aida (Potts) Zamensky and a son, Andrew Zamensky. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Rose (Sager) Zamensky; a son Frank Zamensky, Jr. and wife Diane; two grandsons, Hayden and Gavin Zamensky; his siblings, Larry Zamensky and wife Barbara, Bettyann Ross, Ellen Nutt and husband Vern, Bill Zamensky, Lois Zamensky, Sam Zamensky and wife Jane, Ilene Simonini and husband Harry; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Frank will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533. Calling hours will be on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until Noon at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Frank's name can be made to the Central Jersey Tractor Pullers Association, c/o Jack Homa, 80 Waln Road, Chesterfield, NJ 08515 or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
