Obituary

Ethel P. "Etta" Rahilly, age 92, of Wrightstown passed away Saturday, October 2 at Deborah Hospital in Browns Mills. Born in Trenton to the late Alexander and Julianna (Csaszi) Olah, she has been a resident of the Wrightstown area for the past 50 years. Etta retired from the assembly line at the General Motors plant in Ewing after 40 years. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandsons. She enjoyed crocheting and making quilted pillows. Etta also liked to go camping and birdwatching especially cardinals. She was a fantastic Hungarian cook especially her stuffed cabbage and Hungarian cookies and previously was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Trenton. Etta was predeceased by her husband, Richard L. Rahilly III in 1971 and by her 5 younger siblings, Joseph Olah, Art Olah, Alexander "Sonny" Olah, Irene Havens and Rose Romano. She is survived by a daughter, Patti Rahilly Conover-Jones and husband Paul; three grandsons, Christopher Conover, Ryan Conover and Andrew Conover; a sister-in-law, Marie Rahilly and by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Etta will be held on Friday, October 8 at 12:00 Noon at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Bordentown. Calling hours will be on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until Noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Etta's name can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society Food Pantry, c/o Sacred Heart Church, 260 High Street, Mt. Holly, NJ 08060.
