Emily S. Krum, age 76, of Whiting, formerly of New Egypt, passed away Wednesday, February 5 at AristaCare in Whiting. Born in Trenton to the late Leroy and Helen (Matlack) Gilbert, she was a lifetime New Egypt area resident. Emily had worked as a nurse's aide at King's James Care Center in Hamilton. She also retired as a bus driver with the Plumsted Township Schools after 25 years of service. Emily loved spending time with her family and her dachshunds which she adored. She was predeceased by her parents; a son, Robert Krum and two sisters, Edna Gilbert and Janet Boylen. Emily is survived by two sons, Billy Krum and wife Anna of New Egypt and Donald Krum and wife Brenda of New Egypt; a daughter, Wanda Evans of New Egypt; a brother, Roy Gilbert and wife Debbie of Cream Ridge a sister, Ida Greeley and husband Bill of Sanford, NC; six grandchildren, Jennifer and Michael Evans and Danielle, Derek, Carly and Jillian Krum and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Emily will be held on Saturday, February 15 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 with interment to follow in the Allentown Presbyterian Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
