Donald Giersch, of Allentown, passed peacefully at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, on July 28, 2023. He was 87 years young.

Don was born in Stroudsburg, PA on June 24, 1936 to Roy Donald and Ethel Giersch. His family moved to Trenton in 1946. He served in the Army Reserves from 1954-1966. He worked for 57 years in the building trades and became a master craftsman in the Hamilton, Trenton and Princeton area. Don was a very serious list maker who enjoyed crossing off tasks on his daily TO DO list. He loved being outside working in the yard, in his gardens, his fish pond, spending time with Gracie and keeping fit at Team 85.

Don was predeceased by his parents, Roy Donald and Ethel (Hartman) Giersch, and his son Dru Robert Giersch. He is survived by his wife Lizabeth Thomas, his son Donald Jr. of Allentown, his daughter Rebecca Sanicki and son-in-law Matthew; and his two grandchildren Grayson and Sienna Sanicki of San Diego, CA.

Services will be held privately under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home 52 Main Street New Egypt, NJ 08533.
