Obituary

Clyde E. Lott, age 91, longtime resident of Florence, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly. He was born June 13, 1931 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Clyde and Helen (nee Taggart) Lott. Clyde served in the United States Army and the Merchant Marines. He met the love of his life, Barbara 43 years ago while truck driving. They traveled the country together for many years on the road. After retirement, they enjoyed growing roses out front of their home and caring for their dogs, cats, and other pets they took in over the years. Clyde was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 194 in Florence. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend that will be deeply missed.

Clyde is predeceased by his parents, Clyde and Helen Lott. He leaves behind, His beloved wife Barbara (nee Grocott) Lott of 35 years; his four children, Charlene Fassl of New Egypt, Robert Kiffer of Florence, Robert Shupe, Jr. of Apollo, PA, and Tammy Heinze and husband Steve of Langhorne, PA; and his grandchildren, Melissa Cherepanya and husband Matthew, Robert J. Kiffer, Shane Kiffer, Christopher Heinze, Michael Fassl, Jr., Ryan Heinze, John Fassl, Mary Jane Levenduski, Sean Heinze, and Julie Fassl; his great-grandchildren, Robert Clyde Kiffer, Caroline Rose Kiffer, Zachary Cherepanya, Owen Cherepanya, Elaina Rose Cherepanya.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a memorial service at 12:00 Noon at the Tilghman Funeral Home located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533. Interment services will follow at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, North Hanover Twp., NJ, 08562. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to in Clyde's name to Tunnel to Towers Foundation (www.T2T.org)
