Claire
Wallace Daniels
Feb 6, 1929 — Nov 11, 2025
It is with deep sadness we tell of our Mom, Claire Daniels passing. She was a positive, energetic, fun person, full of life, always pushing bad away and making the best of everything. Our Mom was hardworking and generous too, but most especially, she was a wonderful Mom to us. We will miss her smiles, waves, beautiful style, her delicious Scottish Shortbread and Italian dinners, till the day we see her, "full of life" again.
Claire Bellantoni Wallace Daniels passed away peacefully at home with her sons and daughter by her side on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. She was 96. She was born February 6, 1929 to Dominick Bellantoni and Elisa Cappetta Bellantoni in Newark, NJ.
Claire established her career with the Woodbridge Township Library System. She was devoted to the Iselin, Woodbridge, Fords and Colonia Library Branches. She mastered the art of educating adults and children with the essential skills of researching and gaining knowledge, by reading! Claire was kind, gracious, and her smile was beloved by many library visitors. She served as supervisor and grievance officer before her retirement.
Claire was a longtime resident of Iselin, and an active member of St. Cecelia's Church. She participated in furnishing the amusements at the church fair together with the Bellantoni family. She loved her family, her social life, traveling very often, listening to music and reading. She made the best out of every day, smiling and enjoying her life. Claire spent many years in Manahawkin and Florida both close to her children after her retirement.
Predeceased by her parents, her sisters Victoria Giardallas and Marie Jackson, her brother John Bellantoni; and her husbands, John D. Wallace and Richard C. Daniels; she is survived by her four children, Glenn, Scott and Wayne Wallace; and Elisa Latkovich; her in-laws, Linda Wallace, Russell Latkovich Sr., Dorothy Rogers, and Scott Booth Sr.; her grandchildren, Scott and Colleen Wallace, Scott and Christina Booth, Russell and Johnna Latkovich Jr.; her great grandchildren, Cameron, Sylas, McKayla and Jude.
Following a private funeral, Claire will be laid to rest with her husband Richard Daniels in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please honor Claire's legacy by encouraging a child to read, learn and share, as they are the future.
