Betty Gwinn, age 70, resident of North Hanover, formerly of New Egypt, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. She was born in Trenton, NJ on April 23, 1955 to the late Al and Louise Robinson.
Betty worked at Six Flags Great Adventure for many years as a caterer. She liked doing crossword puzzles, and playing games on her phone. Betty she moved in with her Sister in North Hanover. She had a special love for all her animals. Betty enjoyed going shopping, especially for the ones she loved. She loved playing her oldies music and always Singing. Betty would also often go with Sister Barbara to watch her play Bluegrass music at Robert Halls. She enjoyed spending time at home with her family. Betty looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren, and even taking trips to North Carolina. When her family was in town they would all go to the beach and spend time together. Her family often referred to her at Bootie. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and great-aunt that will be deeply missed.
Betty is predeceased by her mother Louise and Step Dad George Cordwell; her sister Marian Stevens; and her nephew, Timothy Sager. She leaves behind her two children, Michelle Dannelle and husband Joe of North Carolina, and her son David Gwinn of Burlington Township; her grandchildren, Maddie, Ava, McKenna, Teegan, and Lucas; her siblings, Doris Hensley and husband Ronald of North Hanover, Barbara Mucci of New Egypt, and George Cordwell and wife Elvada of Wisconsin; nieces and nephews, Jason, Linda, Mike, Dwayne, Jed, Maria; many great-nieces and nephews; and her good friend, Carol Waugh.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Betty on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Atkinson Hall located at 9 Fort Ave, New Egypt, NJ 08533. A service will begin at 12:30 PM with interment to follow at Zion Cemetery located on Lakewood Road in New Egypt.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Deborah Hospital Foundation (https://www.deborahfoundation.org/donate/).
All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home located in New Egypt, NJ.
