Barbara J. Cottrell, age 80, longtime resident of Wrightstown, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at home. She was born in Paget, Bermuda on September 28, 1939 to the late Eugene and Marjorie (Pullen) Gove. Barbara was a member of the New Egypt Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Young at Hearts senior citizens, and was an active member of Cookstown VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed baking for the soldiers, and loved making blankets for the Veteran's Home in Lyons, NJ. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend that will be deeply missed. Barbara is predeceased by beloved husband Donald Cottrell Sr; her parents; her brother, James Morris; her sister, Rosetta Reynolds. She leaves behind her son, Donald Cottrell of Wrightstown; her sister, Julia Sprague of Port Machias, Maine; her three grandchildren, Kasie Cottrell, Kyle Cottrell and wife Nicole, and Koty Cottrell; her special friends, Mary, Lisa, Wayne, Linda, and Phylis; and her extended family at the Cookstown VFW. Due to the current restriction, funeral services for Barbara are being held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barbara's memory to the VFW Post 6590 Auxiliary, 22 Wrightstown-Cookstown Road, Cookstown, NJ 08511.
