André A. Lyons

André A. Lyons, age 82, a longtime resident of New Egypt, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at home. She was born on March 27, 1944, in Freeport, NY. André was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed.

André began her career at Hallmark in Manhattan as an administrative assistant. After moving to New Egypt, she devoted herself to raising her family and was active in the community, including as a founding member of the Friends of the Plumsted Township Library.

André later worked as a group travel supervisor for AAA in Robbinsville. She traveled to many destinations around the world and across the United States with her husband, Paul, on cruise ships and later in their RV.

André found joy in counted cross-stitch and crocheting. She relished spending days tending to her garden and immersing herself in reading. Her sun room became her sanctuary, where she indulged in bird watching and word searches.

André was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Edel Marone, and her brother, Ralph Marone. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 53 years, Paul Lyons; her three children, Matthew Lyons and his wife Alison, Jonathan Lyons and his wife Laurie, and Amanda Shiber and her husband Ron; and her three grandchildren, Matthew Jr., Braxton, and Jasper.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533. A funeral service will begin at 1 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
