Alexander G. Kartasheff, Jr., age 47, of Cream Ridge passed away Saturday, April 17 at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold. Born in Lakewood, he lived in Jackson before moving to Cream Ridge two years ago. Alex was a graduate of Jackson Memorial High School. He worked for many years at his family's deli "Al's Grill" in Cream Ridge. For the past few years Alex was employed by Amazon at their warehouse in Robbinsville. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Alex is survived by his parents Christine and Alexander "Al" Kartasheff, Sr. of Cream Ridge; a brother, Matthew Kartasheff and wife Heather of Cream Ridge; a sister, Alycia Alexandra of Florida; a nephew, Jayden; two nieces, Kayla and Emma; his aunts and uncles, Linda Kartasheff, Galina Tarasevitsch, Janet and John Sangiovanni, Anthony Alo and Jody Alo and several cousins. Funeral services for Alex will be held on Saturday, April 24 at 2:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Alex's name can be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
