New Egypt, NJ – As a member of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), Tilghman Funeral Home, Inc. is taking part in For A Life Worth Celebrating, a national consumer education effort. Along with approximately 2,000 other NFDA funeral homes across the country, Tilghman Funeral Home, Inc. is helping families gain a better understanding of their options when it comes to planning a funeral by providing a variety of educational funeral service materials.

“Consumer research has shown that consumers want and need more information when it comes to making funeral arrangements,” said NFDA Chief Executive Officer Christine Pepper, CAE. “By taking part in this public education effort, Tilghman Funeral Home, Inc. is demonstrating its resolve to help families better understand the choices available to them so they can plan the most meaningful, helpful funeral process.”

For a Life Worth Celebrating was developed in response to the results of NFDA's two-year marketing study. From the study, NFDA learned that the public values funeral service as a vital part of the grieving and healing process but does not fully understand what their options are when planning a funeral.

“We hope that by offering the community an informative look into what it is we do, people will feel better prepared when the time comes to plan a funeral for themselves or a loved one,” explained Dennis Tilghman, manager.

Tilghman Funeral Home, Inc. invites you to stop in or call to receive more information on this program and to answer any questions you may have.

NFDA is the leading funeral service association, serving more than 21,400 individual members who represent 12,486 funeral homes in the United States and other countries. From its headquarters in Brookfield, Wis., and its Advocacy Office in Washington, D.C., NFDA provides advocacy, education, information, products, programs and services to help members enhance the quality of service to families.
